Sherry Tomlinson Awarded GAHHS Employee of the Month for November

Sherry Tomlinson has been awarded the Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services (GAHHS) November Employee of the Month.  Sherry currently lives in the town she was born and raised in, Gibson City.  Sherry is currently a Respiratory Care Practitioner with GAHHS, however her career with GAHHS began 25 years ago. 

“I attend Parkland College and began working at Gibson Area Hospital shortly after I graduated,” said Sherry.  “I started my career with the hospital as an EMT-I with the ambulance service while I also worked in the Cardiopulmonary Department.”

When asked why she enjoys her job Sherry replied, “I have always enjoyed caring for others and after working for 25 years at the hospital, I feel I have accomplished that.”

Sherry also said that she has been able to work at GAH for all of these years because of those around her. “I appreciate being able to work in my hometown and appreciate the support I get from the other departments.”

Sherry enjoys spending time with her husband Rick and their two children (Shane and Shannon) and their 3 grandsons (Cole, Logan, and Carson).  When not at one of her grandsons’ sporting event, Sherry enjoys caring for her mother, working in her yard, going to the movies, and shopping with her daughter and friends.
