Annex Administrator Elected Newest INHAA Board Member

Gibson Area Hospital (GAH) is proud to announce that Karen Christensen, Administrator for the GAH Long-Term Care Annex, has become the newest board member for the Illinois Nursing Home Administrator’s Association (INHAA).  Voting for INHAA Board Members took place during their annual conference in November.

Karen, a member since 2008, said INHAA is an excellent organization and that she has been looking into becoming more active within the group since she became the Annex Administrator.  “I joined INHAA because it provides excellent networking opportunities and resources for nursing home administrators to utilize in their homes”, said Karen.  “Now that I am a board member, this will allow me to further advocate for our Annex residents.”    

In addition to attending the quarterly board meetings and conferences, Karen also serves on the Legislative and Program Committees.  

INHAA is a professional organization dedicated to providing timely and quality educational programs and relevant publications for the long-term care profession. They work closely with health care related agencies, health care associations and legislators statewide for the benefit of all health care providers, personnel and residents of our facilities. INHAA is the only Illinois Association designed specifically to support the Nursing Home Administrator.
