GAH Auxiliary Annouces Annual Love Lights a Tree Fundraiser.
November 1, 2016
The Gibson Area Hospital Auxiliary invites you to give a lasting "Gift of Love" as part of their Love Lights a Tree campaign this year. Your gift becomes part of a bigger sum collected by the Auxiliary and is used to purchase items that promote patient care and comfort at Gibson Area Hospital and Health Services. And those items last for many years to come.
A donation as small as $20 can be part of a gift that keeps on giving such as a special lift chair to help an Annex patient stand up, a warm blanket to comfort one during a surgical procedure, a convenient location for a doctor to make notes about a patient’s treatment or condition, a comfortable chair for transporting a chemo patient, or simply a pleasing comfortable piece of furniture where you wait for a loved one undergoing surgery. All these items have been purchased from funds collected in the Love Lights a Tree program over the last few years.
Your donation can honor or memorialize someone close to you, or acknowledge that special person who has helped you over the past year. Or it can simply be a gift of generosity from your heart.
The Love Lights A Tree campaign for giving runs from November 1, 2016 until January 1, 2017 and gifts to Gibson Area Hospital are charitable and tax deductible as allowed by law. Receipt of donations will be acknowledged and a special card will be included to send notice to the person or family the donor has chosen to honor or remember. Lights on evergreen trees located near the entrance of Gibson Area Hospital will be lit every time a $1000 mark is reached during the program.
Donation forms are available here, at various businesses in Gibson City and surrounding communities, at the hospital and its clinic facilities and from auxiliary members. Donations may be mailed to 1120 N. Melvin St, Gibson City, IL 60936 specifying the Auxiliary Love Lights A Tree project.
Donations may be made online at www.gibsonhospital.org/donate-now. With an online donation, please specify it is for Gift of Love. Sue Everett and Karen Schantz are co-chairs of the Love lights a Tree project this year. Additional information regarding your donation may also be obtained from the Gibson Area Hospital Foundation at 217-784-2602.
