Kathy Arends Awarded GAHHS Employee of the Month For June

Kathy Arends of Roberts has been awarded the Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services (GAHHS) June Employee of the Month. Kathy is originally from Morton, Texas, a small town just west of Lubbock, Texas. While in Texas, she attended Sam Houston State University. After moving to Illinois, Kathy attended Kankakee Community College (KCC). At KCC, Kathy earned her CNA Certificate.
Kathy has work at GAHHS for 6 months as a CNA in the Medical and Surgical Unit. “We have such a great team here at Gibson Hospital,” said Kathy. “I am a very caring person by nature and this job allows me to expand on that part of who I am.”
In her spare time Kathy enjoys fishing and camping with her husband, Larry, and their children Matthew, Whitney, Jessica, and Josiah. Kathy is also a huge sports fan and loves watching the Fighting Illini!
