Corn Belt Shrine Club to host Kid's Day and Circus

On Sunday, August 21 the Corn Belt Shrine Club will hold its Annual “Kid’s Day” event from noon to 3p.m. at Gibson City’s North Park. A parade will kick off the event at 11:30a.m., starting at Third and Church and ending at North Park. At the "Kid’s Day" event everything is just 25 cents. That includes all games, kart rides, hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, sno-cones, drinks, and so much more.
All proceeds from the "Kid’s Day" event will be used to fund Corn Belt Shrine Club activities, including the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
In addition to the Annual “Kid’s Day” event the Shriners are sponsoring the return of the Culpepper and Merriweather Circus on Wednesday, August 24. Shows will be held at the Country Kettle parking lot and begin at 5p.m. and at 7:30p.m.
