Kenna Dunlap Johnson has worked in the mental health field since 2004.  She received her bachelor’s degree with a focus in Psychology in 2005 from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. She then went on to obtain her Masters in Social Work at the University of Illinois School of Social Work at Urbana Champaign in 2008, specializing in Community Mental Health.

Kenna has had training in crisis de-escalation, Theraplay, Play Therapy, Art Therapy and Sand Tray Therapy. She completed her graduate internship at The Pavilion prior to graduating in 08’.  Kenna became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2010 when she received her clinical licensure for completing 3000 hours of clinical supervision and passing the social work board exam. 

Kenna also recently completed her Certificate in Business Administration from the University of Illinois.  This program was a certificate program for current or former graduate students with degrees in non-business fields

Kenna grew up as an army brat.  Her family returned to this area in the early 90’s after her father started the Lincoln’s Challenge Academy in Rantoul.  She graduated from Blue Ridge High School in Farmer City.  Kenna is married and has one child (a 3 y/o daughter) and they are expecting their secnd child in March of 2013.  Her hobbies include play the piano, enjoy music and spending time with her family and friends.
