Family Health Care of Potomac
106 E. State Street, Potomac, IL 61865
Stephanie Snyder, Family Practice Nurse (FNP), is originally from Rantoul, IL and attended Danville Area Community College and the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL earning her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She continued her education at the University of Illinois Chicago in Champaign-Urbana to earn her Masters of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degrees. She is board certified in Family Practice by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Stephanie started her nursing career in emergency medicine and critical care. These experiences have provided her family practice with valuable insight into the preventable reason patients end up in the emergency room and in critical care. Stephanie chose GAHHS and the Family Health Care of Potomac because she enjoys rural health care and is excited to work with a community so close to her home and family.
At the Family Health Care of Potomac, Stephanie looks forward to providing care as an approachable community resource in order to educate and empower patients so they can make informed healthcare decisions and take charge of their overall health. Stephanie provides care to manage acute and chronic illness as well as preventative screenings and wellness care for all ages. In addition to providing family care, Stephanie also preforms DOT Certification Physicals.
Together, Stephanie and her husband Jason (from rural Armstrong- Potomac), have one son Jasper, and a very large “lap dog” lab named Nala. She is an avid reader, loves spending time with family, attending T-ball games and tractor pulls with her son, Illini sports, and traveling.
