There are 12 scholarships to be awarded in the spring by the GAH Auxiliary. Applicants must be a residents of the GAH service area and be pursuing post-high school study in an accredited medical program. A “medical field” includes physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, all levels of nursing, pharmacists, athletic trainers, and any other career related to health.
The Auxiliary will pay each recipient for the full scholarship amount awarded, at the annual spring banquet. These funds should be applied towards tuition, fees, room and board, books or uniforms, and associated expenses that are required as part of an accredited program leading to a career in a medical field. Funds are paid directly to the recipient.
