Wound Healing Clinic

Gibson Area Hospital offers a convenient specialty wound clinic. The Advanced Wound Healing Clinic, located at 1120, N. Melvin St. in Gibson City, is an outpatient hospital-based clinic that treats non-healing chronic wounds such as:

  • Pressure ulcers/Bedsores

  • Venous Stasis Ulcers

  • Diabetic Foot Ulcers

  • Other hard-to-heal ulcers and wounds

 

The Clinic, led by Medical Director Dr. Joseph Chung, provides advanced wound care treatments including:

  • Negative pressure wound therapy

  • Multilayer compression therapy

  • Cellular and/or Tissue-based products

  • Total contact casting

  • Epidermal Autografting

  • Advanced wound dressings

  • MIST Ultrasound Therapy

 

The Advanced Wound Healing Clinic strives to provide individualized care for patients based on evidence-based practices.  In addition to healing wounds, our focus is to help our patients prevent new wounds from occurring.

 

The clinic is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 – 5:00 and is located at the Gibson Area Hospital.  Please call 217-784-2258 to make an appointment.

 

* The Wound Clinic does not require a referral, but your insurance policy may require one.  Please contact your insurance company for your policy specific requirements.
